Partner Airlines Thread

This thread is for all comments and questions relating to Emirates partnership with any of the following airlines:

Air Mauritius, Alaska Airlines, EasyJet, FlyDubai, GOL, Japan Airlines, Jet Blue, Jetstar, Korean Air, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, S7, South African Airways, TAP Portugal.

But first: could your question be answered here: EK Official Airline Partners page?

Examples of what will make this thread worthwhile:
  • Good value redemptions and tips for seasonality etc.
  • What benefits if any your EK status gets you with these partners.
  • Special offers relating to higher than normal earn rates.
  • What to avoid.

To kick us off, there is a double miles earn promotion if you fly anywhere on the EK/QF partnership network. You need to book by midnight tomorrow, 29th of May (Australian East Coast time)

You need to register to take advantage. PM me for an email link, the link I'm trying to post is not playing nice.

Thanks for this thread. It comes in really handy as I was just composing a question that relates to this very issue. In a few weeks I have a flight to Orlando. Normally I fly the direct flight to Orlando but this time the timings worked out better for me to make connections with Jet Blue via Boston. When I get to Boston will EK Gold status be of any use in accessing a lounge while I wait for my Jet Blue flight to Orlando? It looks like Jet Blue doesn't have its own lounge in Boston (although it looks like one is coming soon) so I guess they would have to offer access to whatever third-party lounge they use there. Is this a case of Gold status over-reach on my part? The reason I ask is that I was able to do something similar in the Qantas domestic lounge in Sydney a time or two waiting for a domestic Qantas flight after connecting from Dubai. But I am not sure if it works the same with Jet Blue, as the EK tie in with Qantas is much stronger than with Jet Blue. Does anyone have any insight on this?
