Thanks for this thread. It comes in really handy as I was just composing a question that relates to this very issue. In a few weeks I have a flight to Orlando. Normally I fly the direct flight to Orlando but this time the timings worked out better for me to make connections with Jet Blue via Boston. When I get to Boston will EK Gold status be of any use in accessing a lounge while I wait for my Jet Blue flight to Orlando? It looks like Jet Blue doesn't have its own lounge in Boston (although it looks like one is coming soon) so I guess they would have to offer access to whatever third-party lounge they use there. Is this a case of Gold status over-reach on my part? The reason I ask is that I was able to do something similar in the Qantas domestic lounge in Sydney a time or two waiting for a domestic Qantas flight after connecting from Dubai. But I am not sure if it works the same with Jet Blue, as the EK tie in with Qantas is much stronger than with Jet Blue. Does anyone have any insight on this?
