Videos like Neistat have such free PR appeal it's unbelievable. All the millenials want to fly Emirates after a video like that. He is in the top5 list of vloggers that rich young people watch for the latest gadgets/travel etc.

Exactly! And not so young and not terribly rich (looking in the mirror!) as well!

Don't you think there's more people think these vloggers are annoying imbeciles and just as likely to put people off?

The thing that would put me off would be the prospect of being in close proximity to someone like them on a plane but would concur that they could also have a negative effect.

Yes, but I think they will project their negative views onto the person involved only and have the capacity of mind to detach the actual hard product from the reviewer.

I don’t see it as a PR negative at all, no matter how annoying the reviewer is - EK got Jennifer Aniston and Jeremy Clarkson in so they really have a demographic scattergun approach.

I’ve got to fly to gva and looking at my dates it appears both flights to gva will have the new suites - this is April so fingers crossed.

Pretty smart cheeky to put a 777 with the new F cabin on the just announced route to STN... good way to draw some high rev traffic from LHR and LGW!

From middle of next year this will be on the new London Stansted route as well. I frequently connect through London.... hmmmmm.....

Really was trying to avoid spending stupid money on flights!

My flights BRU-DXB-BRU Jan 3-10 show the regular map now.
Does this mean the new 777 is off this route?

ZRHMD11 Dec 30, 2017 2:57 pm

There are 2 daily flights BRU-DXB; EK 182 and EK184.

Normally the 77W with the new first class cabin is scheduled on the EK 184.

chuck1 Dec 30, 2017 3:03 pm

Yes - but now 184 shows 8 F seats on January 3 in a 1 X 2 X 1 when previously it was 6 seats 1 X 1 X 1.
Same on January 10 for 183.
Ugh. This is why I took EK on this route.
It looks like Geneva has both 777-300ER aircraft on this route for these days.

its a risk you take and me when I book my April gva flights...

m3red - Will EK let me change to GVA without an additional collection?
Any idea why EK would change the schedule for 10 days in January and make GVA double daily with the new plane?

I doubt it - it will ikley be a change fee and fare difference. They may be sympathetic if you say you booked for new first as they advertised it, however they don’t guarantee a specific plane usually and that’s probably not a reason to allow you to move destination without charge.
