Make sure you hide that 2005 Chateau Montrose back in the cupboard...I'll be looking for it in late May :)

The Chateau Montrose was exceptionally well paired with the Lamb shank! Highly recommended.

I looked at the wine list for my flight today and my reaction was “meh”. However, as someone that mostly drinks white Burgundy the 2015 Giaconda Chardonnay on BKK-DXB currently is soooo good. One of the best wines I’ve ever drunk on a flight. Bravo EK wine buyers, this is why I fly EK F.

P.S. sorry, there will be no bottles going into the lounge when EK363 lands 😇

Just looked at wine list for SYD-DUB in 1st in Oct and showing only one red wine, a $25 Aust Shiraz that would be a let down in Business. Does this sound likely (1 red and a cheap one at that)? I’m very much hoping the list is updated before we fly. Thanks

I believe it is farewell to the 2008 Dom Perignon in F. It looks like it has been replaced with 2012 Dom.
Here is a quote from TheBuyer in an article entitled: Why the new Dom Pérignon 2012 is a classic vintage in every sense "“On the palate it is quite clear there is one word – energy. The attack is rounder, welcoming but very quickly it is starting to vibrate and then explodes in your mouth with a surge of effervescence and tonicity. Focused by acidic and bitter notes, the finish brings a penetrating tautness marked by ginger, tobacco and toasted accents.” Technical details: Pinot Noir 51 % / Chardonnay 49% The article link is: Dom Pérignon 2012: is this new vintage worth buying? I will be happy to taste on my flight from IAD to DXB in F in May! |
