There's a post on pprune saying that the pilots had to override the 'glitch' en-route to London, as it would have shown up again on approach to LHR.

I assume they must have got permission from EK ops.

Now there's a surprise :-

Emirates' press office stated, the three go-arounds were made due to weather.
I do hope somebody does sue them if they continue with that little scam.

Yes - the pilots announced it was for technical reasons according the reports I've read.

If it was due to weather, why would they have tried twice on the right hand runway, and once on the left?

It was also mentioned on the EK source a few days ago. FMS gave a warning about runway length
