SYD to BKK - Fully Flat Bed?
Was just reading Emirates website which said that there are fully flat beds on MOST 777's
Just wondering if anyone knows if the SYD to BKK flights have fully flat beds. Just my luck to get the one or two planes that are yet to be refitted!
Thanks.

If you get an 'old' 777 those have sleeperette (angle is around 170, so close to flat)
they do not refitt the 777 with the new design

You probably meant just "fitted".

Is the old 777 ok or crap?
I'm thinking of Emirates because of all their fancy advertising about their luxurious seats.
My other options are Thai (horrible angled flat beds) or Qantas
Was planning to go in July.

I would point you to the discussion on the newest seat "New 777 J seat to be announced soon" to read criticism and praise for the J seat/service. Emirates does do a lot of advertising and they do it well to say that their seats are 'luxurious.' I don't consider it the best J seat in the world by a long shot but it is not as terrible as many people would have you believe. If your choice is between those 3 airlines and a flat seat itself is the most important factor EK is angled at about 170 degrees. If the Qantas flight is operated by an A380 or refitted 747, or refitted A330 then you may get a flat bed.

There used to be "deeply reclining" on some B777s, which were like your grannie's old armchair, but they all now have angled lie flats.
OP. When the EK website says fully flat on most 777s it is paying heed to the fact that there were some of these deeply reclining seats until recently (last seem on the B777-200s I think). Your B777-300ER that does CHC-SYD-BKK-DXB will have angled lie flats. The evening timing means it's not really a sleeping flight, so you're unlikely to notice the difference IMO.

Sleeperettes were only on the A330s and A340s.
