Emirates Wishlist for 2016 (incl Route Rumours)
maybe a little too early, but I thought especially after the announcement of 10 additional aircrafts for 2016, a good time (?). My assumptions:
Sapporo
Geneva 2nd daily
Atlanta
Cebu
Darwin
no MIA for patriots

SUB would definitely be welcome. A one stop trip from GLA would be fantastic although I don't think the Business Lounge (read dentist waiting room without the glamour) could cope if anyone hasn't had the (dis)pleasure .
Wouldn't mind the A380 on the GLA rotations too .

Will be interesting to see which new destinations EK will launch in Europe.
HEL is logical but then? Maybe Bucharest
ATL, PHL in the USA.
Hanoi would be nice.
By phasing out the A332/A343/A345 new routes are likely to launch with B777 (and more likely with B77W). That's why I'm wondering if EK can manage it to launch a new route with a B77W from the start.

I don't think the expansion will be that aggressive in 2016 simply because they won't have the air frames needed after removing all those old aircraft from the fleet. Also count that some cities will have increased capacity.
I would say five to six new destinations max.
My guess would be,
Atlanta, Philadelphia, Helsinki, one African destination, and one maybe two in Asia.
Any additional A380 service to Australia takes 2.5 air frames to do the job.

Never mind a 4th flight daily to Manchester, what about a first one to Bristol. Give the south west something to cheer about

That`s not correct; EK can fly to any destination daily, with only 2 frames!
So, if 20 airplanes will leave and 36 will join the fleet; I can imagine too about 5-6 new destinations and increasing frequencies to some destinations already srved...

Similarly with LAX at 16hr scheduled, add say 2hr for turnaround and you've got the plane waiting around at DXB for 4hr which EK won't do...!
