Yes, 24-48 hours before pickup to confirm number of passengers and luggage requirements.

Still no confirmation call. If they haven't called by say 17.00, what number should I call for LHR?

Yes usually, however I have never received a call in VIE. But the car turns up at the appointed time.

Just arrived at LHR. A very professional service, given route options in case we wanted to avoid traffic. Cars are tracked by base and have several safety features, such as speed limiters. Our first experience with Emirates and we have so far been very impressed.

Mostly true but there are some who are no longer "entitled".

Would these folks no longer entitled include AA-mile-redemptions?

Was it ever possible to use AA miles on EK?

Or you mean AS? In which case, it's been a while since AS mile bookings became ineligible for chauffeur on EK awars.

What telephone number do I give to the Chauffeur company in Australia

It may appear a strange question, my wife an I have O2 phones, we have Chauffeur transfers in Sydney and Brisbane, when arranging the Chauffeur on the Emirates website, you have to give a contact number, I presume for them to contact you for collection etc. in the UK for our collection it will be just the normal mobile number, for the Australian legs, do I give just the mobile number or the country code as well, which number will the Australian chauffeur be able to contact us on.

It may seem a silly question but can I get a straight answer from O2 !!!!

I would always include the country code (even in the UK), actually the provider does not really Know if you are from the UK or maybe on your inbound travel after holidays in the UK, so include it. better safe than sorry

On the EK website, you will select a country separately to the number. Don't prefix the +44 (if you are using a UK SIM) in the number field, just state the number without the preceding 0 in the area code. (i.e 7xxxxxxxxx) and they will contact you on your UK phone. Roaming charges will of course apply!
