I think the real issue is that it is very difficult for a foreign Cabin Services Manager more so if female to tell these people that they are not entitled to B/C or F/C service as they have not paid for it.
I was a little embarrassed for the CSM as the "Do you know who I am?" statement was one of the very first things that was said to him. Not sure where the CSM came from although it was definitely Western Europe. Its very difficult to deal with this problem when the people are from the airlines country of origin.

I have lived in Kuwait for three years now, and have seen similar happen on all of the regional carriers.
The worst case was on a FlyDubai flight. We had been in the departure queue for the runway in DXB. we were about number two for takeoff after about 15 minutes waiting. At that moment a man gets up and flies forward towards the cockpit door. Cabin crew were all telling him to sit down and he ignored them. Then he tried to get into the lavatory, but they locked the doors prior to taxi out. He was really trying to force the door open and cabin crew notified pilot.
Pilot pulled the aircraft out of the queue and stopped on a remote spot of the ramp area. Cabin crew then unlocked the door and allowed him to take care of his business. After he was settled down in his seat again, we started taxiing again. I think we took a tour of ALL the taxiways at DXB. I really though we were going someplace and going to get the guy off the airplane. It didnt happen. All in all, the little pre departure adventure took about an additional 45 minutes.
The crew really didnt seem to know how to handle the situation well as they all appeared bewildered.
I really think if this happened anyplace else in the world, the man would have been removed from the flight.

Honestly, though, how long is that flight? While I'm just as dismayed at this sort of behavior, surely that can't be more than a 1-ish hour flight? At which point, that's less intolerable than say a 15hour shot to SFO....
OT - seriously, does EK really run a 773 from DOH to DXB? I guess fuel really is super cheap over there...

Not how I read it. I see it as criticism of inappropriate behavior. Granted this is a middle-eastern airline, and the ruling family and their associates have certain privileges - the fact is that EK is a commercial entity and makes certain representations to its other passengers through the CoC, and ought be held responsible to assure that those representations are fulfilled. If I were a subject of the ruling family, perhaps it would be right and proper for me to defer my (hypothetical) paid F seat to one of them. But I'm not, and I'll warrant neither are most of EK's premium pax. And that's the problem.

Fair enough. I suppose a more accurate description would be those associates of the ruling family - distant cousins, relatives, friends, business associates, whatever - who, while not being able to fly private, still view themselves as "royalty lite" and take upon themselves privileges that inconvenience "normal" commercial travelers in F.

Am I the only one when they first saw the title of this thread thought it was going to be related to the new shake shack in Concourse A at DXB? lol
Anyway, I've never had this happen to me, and I've flown many EK F and J flights. Also, as other have mentioned, there are many inaccuracies on that website so I would't use it to get any facts.

I have never seen anyone ever displace a B/C or F/C traveller on the DXB-DOH-DXB flights. Moving into the empty seats in the cabin is all I have seen. The belief is if its not occupied we can use it.
Its just very embarrassing for the CSM on the flight to deal with, I am also sure that there were a few comments written on my flight over a month ago. I wonder what Emirates response is to its fare paying B/C and F/C pax.
