Granted this is a middle-eastern airline, and the ruling family and their associates have certain privileges - the fact is that EK is a commercial entity and makes certain representations to its other passengers through the CoC, and ought be held responsible to assure that those representations are fulfilled. If I were a subject of the ruling family, perhaps it would be right and proper for me to defer my (hypothetical) paid F seat to one of them. But I'm not, and I'll warrant neither are most of EK's premium pax. And that's the problem.
Most of the gulf royals have their own private planes. Few travel commercially.
