I was on 203. At that time of the day it was mostly flights to Asia/Europe.
I saw your pics and I have to say I'm not very impressed with the new lounge. I like the airy and open feel of the old one in B. but that's just my opinion.

Neither was I. Currently the part that is open is more like the J lounge - narrow and long. The other issue is that since boarding is from within the lounge, the other edge of the lounge is reserved for gates, making it further cramped. And besides, I couldn't see any large sofas as in the old F lounge - its the old J style single seaters all the way. But then, I am not sure if I checked out the entire lounge as I was there for only a short time.

Since they got rid of the large sofas, do you know if there are any sleeping rooms?
I'll be sure to walk around the entire lounge when I fly through DXB again early next month. I really think that the colors aren't that welcoming either, but again, others might like, so that's just my opinion.

None. It is policy not to have them

Really? I never knew that. Thanks for the info. But do you know why they have that policy?

I presume they don't want people using the lounge when a hotel would be more appropriate.

The Concourse B F lounge has a 'quiet room' with some chair-bed things, blankets and pillows. I think this is a good compromise - acceptable for a small amount of sleep when a hotel is not worth it, but for anything over 4 hours a hotel will be a better option.
