A380 terminal query

I'm doing BKK-JFK. Outbound Jan 12 inbound Jan 15 All 380

How certain/ likely/ random is it that my transits will all be from the new terminal, could the experts tell, please. Thanks

Also, has anyone been to the new J lounge? What's it like?

ft101 Jan 6, 2013 3:19 am

There are only 4 gates currently in use and this will continue until February so odds are against any particular flight using them.

The new J lounge is not yet open.

True, but there are rumors circulating that J pax are welcome to the First class lounge if departing from Concourse A.

This however still hasn't been verified though by any of the regulars here.

There is no way of determining which Concourse you will arrive / depart from.

There are too many posts on this to still be a rumor.

Sorry long time lurker here. I can confirm I was on EK017 today and we left via CA I had First Lounge Access on a J ticket. We left from Gate A3. Interestingly I also arrived into CA 24hours ago but on a 777 meaning we used stairs And were busses directly to CB. The jet was still at A7 when I left today.

I flew out of DXB on my way to JFK on Friday, and I was hoping the flight would leave out of A. Sadly we left from good old B. Looking at the FIDS, mostly flights to Asia/Europe were leaving for, the few operational gates at A. I think you might arrive into A, but will depart for JFK from B. please tell us if you do leave from A though!

Were you on 201 or 203? I flew out on 201 today and we departed from A2 (was A4 initially and then changed to A2.) I checked out the F lounge and posted some pictures here.

Great so train is functional? How close to the B lounge does it drop you?

It drops you just past immigration/security for Y class. So as soon as you take the lifts or escalators to the upper level you will face the lounge lifts.
