Baggage Mishandled by EK (resolved)

Hi

My case arrived with a broken zip and lock. I went over to the baggage desk and the case was replaced on the spot with a new one!

Impressive service.

Excellent indeed...

What I don't understand is the "zip" part... I don't consider anything using a zip for closure to be airline-suitable luggage...

(I wish Samsonite still made the old style hard shells!!!)

YMMV of course!

They had your exact model available?

Or, did you accept some oddball replacement? Or, did you get a better case?

Lots of top quality luggage uses zips. Top of the range Tumi for example.
