Holy moly, this thread seems to getting a little overwrought!

For me, its simple. If you heard anything, implied, suggested, or whatever, that might be of interest to other FT'ers, why not share it?

or...if the person is not sure whether it is correct to share it, accept it . The OP seemed reasonable in indicating that EK do take on board things that are said but without going into details

Would it just be better not to have even mentioned what he felt ok in revealing and avoided being flamed?

Trust me, this aint nothing compared to those Silly English People over on the BA Forum

My simple answer to the above question is - because we were asked not to share or post it. Thats it. Period. Personally, I didn't ask questions about Skywards or overhear a conversation which couldn't be shared.

Also, my view of a "flaming" and a conversation is perhaps a little different. I'm an Aussie remember. We're used to a good stoush

8B. Your reply was the first to mention that you had been asked not to discuss the details.

My curiosity will now be doused!

This answers it all, and manages everyone's expectations. No more questions asked.

Thank you, eightblack.

Anyway, all of the above is completely irrelevant. What is relevant is that now we have a fully fledged iO member in our ranks. And for that, we might just have to ask Mr. Aquitania to be the guest speaker over on another thread...

OK - I'll come clean.

The A380 order is to be cut to just 20 airframes.

EK have been 'incentivised' to purchase 30 B747-800's...

See if anyone notices this - only joking!

Cheers,
Rick

Please do excuse this silly little Scotsman, checking in with a scoop from the do.

To be honest during a one to one with someone or another, I did my best to engage in small talk. As someone educated in the Bauhaus tradition it is unimaginably difficult to focus one's mind and conger up an insightful question whilst simultaneously transfixed at the placement of turquoise cloth juxtaposed with injection moulded burr walnut. It's a cross I have learned to bear.

Oh, that question, what was it again?....

Oh yes, something about EDI?; nothing!; on the radar?; Drop it, ain't gonna happen. There, you read here first. Tell all your friends

Let Etihad come to EDI for a bit of competition.

Any mention of a second daily from Glasgow?
