380/777 jfk-dxb

Just a quick question: I want to fly on a 380 to DXB ex-east coast [I am looking to book before the UA relationship ends]. I see that JFK-DXB has both a 380 and a 777 flying that route. My question is, does EK swap planes on this route? If so, do they do it often? And would I be better off YYZ-DXB to "make sure" [I know nothing is sure] I got the 380. I really just want to fly on the 380 and was looking for my best option. Is there a thread that I missed in my search?

Cheers

Thanks

No they don't switch planes, they run a double daily (1x777 and 1xA380). So you want to book EK202/201 for the A380

With EK's ample fleet on signature routes are substitutions ever at play?
