Doesn't need to be 100% the FA but could be also a PAX. Access to that mini wardrobe (e.g. you can easily walk up there and take sth from "your' jacket) is not a limitation.

hi, i was flying from BJS-DxB-LCA and i forgot my camera on board. Because it was such a long journey i didn't remember it until i arrived at my final destination. I filed a report at my local emirates office and i also sent an e-mail. They replied asking me to describe the camera but they never answered back if they found it or not. I also used too work at the airport industry and i know that things just don't get lost that easily. Whenever we found a lost object on board we kept it for at least a year in our lost and found office. And we were at least polite enough to answer passenger whether we had found what they were missing or not.
I know is very hard to find the email to contact them so here's what i have:

Hence why the FA's always ask if you have any valuables in it! I always remove my passport when asked in case I have not already done so...

Here's a story that flies in the face of what one would expect. I travelled from DXB to Lagos yesterday with a colleague in Business class on EK. After we had disembarked in LOS and cleared immigration, etc., my colleague realised he had left his shiny new iPad on his seat (he was distracted while helping a lady retrieve her bag from the overhead and then forgot it). I told him to forget that he had ever owned it because he would only have a 50:50 chance at best of seeing it again in Dubai so what possible chance could he have in Lagos. I even suggested that someone was probably already wrapping it up as a Christmas present while we were speaking! How wrong was I, despite my mocking he asked our local office to see if there was a lost and found in Lagos at Lagos airport because the EK people told him that they could not help and lo and behold when contacted they told us that the item had already been turned in and was available for him or our people to collect at their leisure. Foot in mouth, eat my own hat, etc..

If u check below in the thread u would see someone reporting a similar pleasant experience in a flt from dxb - bkk...
IIRC, very few (if at all) anyone has reported pleasant experiences with lost and found in dxb

I flew last night from Hong Kong to Dubai on Business Class. Forgot my laptop in the overhead. I am a Platinum Member on Emirates. Flight arrived 11pm now 7am and I have no information. All I have been told at the First Class lounge reception is that lost and found have no information. Very difficult situation in that no proper procedure. Cannot tell me whether the aircraft cleaned yet or not. Aircraft on the ground or turned around already. Cannot tell me if anybody been on board to check. I mean surely an Airline this size is capable of providing more information. If anybody has had similar experience or has contact details I can use please advise. Thank you

Once upon a time much to the amusement of a lot of folks on here I left my wedding suit and 2 new pairs of Hugo boss trousers in suite 2a's locker on a man dxb flight.
Long story short I got it back the next day but it was seriously hard work with about 20 calls being passed from pillar to post people denying it was there and telling me to file a police report
I'm sure there is a protocol. I have heard some amazing stories though of people getting things back. If only my wife would stop leaving sunglasses in taxis!

Worth trying all avenues: try also contacting DXB lost and found as well (they may kick you back to EK since it was left onboard).
I actually got a proper response once after filling out this form.

(just left a bunch of cash yesterday in a hotel room in KSA and checked out - duh! - only to notice while I was trying to pay for a drink in the lobby before leaving for the airport. Housekeeping guy found it and returned it to reception. He was nicely rewarded).

Lost on board
Lost and found is terrible on Ek. The form is helpful tho will use it next time. I think turnarounds are so tight the cleaners just throw everything out or nobody can be bothered to look for the items

If you ever leave something on board an EK flt do it in SIN. My son forgot his iPhone in his seat wrapped up with his blanket and by the time we got to baggage an EK agent was looking for us and the chauffeur drive had already been informed! Kudos to them!
