My father left his iPad on a Ryanair flight last year and realised after we checked into our hotel. We both agreed that it was pointless to even check up on it (because it is Ryanair!). He did send an email to ask about it, which was unanswered.
Lo and behold, the iPad pitched up at our house in England (unannounced) 2 weeks later! They mailed it back to us without even asking!
Very surprised and pleased at their service.
... If Ryanair can do it I don't see why EK can't.

Well , after leaving an amenities kit (an AA one )on board on landing at DME that contained hearing aids, I was very despondent after reading this thread.
Even more despondent after the first call , morning after landing at Moscow turned up negative.
The concierge persevered , and two days later she found them at the Emirates airport airside office. She arranged for the hotel limo driver that was at the airport to take his ID (passport?) and get it for me.
So take heart, I was pretty distraught at losing a very expensive bit of kit - especially since I read the fine print in my travel insurance which had a max of $1000 per item- and was overjoyed when it turned up as it is supposed to.
