Have been trying to book Business Class tickets through emirates.com for two days but cannot get the booking completed.
I can only speculate that the problem is with Mastercard payment. The usual Mastercard SecureCode page asking for the secure no. (or dismissing it) I am used to on other websites doesn't show up during the final booking process.
I disabled my internet security program and firewall and my browser's popup blocker (either Explorer, Firefox or Chrome), credit card limit is sufficient but to no avail. My bank hasn't received any payment requests from EK either so seems to be a website problem...
Call center cannot help, only to offer to book on a higher fare and with no online mileage bonus. This morning I was the secong person to complain about the problem...
Anyone with same experience or a hint to solve the problem ?

Have you tried Amex or Diners instead?
I've run into this problem several times (took me hours to resolve, several calls made to my card issuer).
Most recently I have been sticking to Amex simply because the authorization process of the Visa and MC is bothersome.
Try clearing up your cookies and history, that's the only other thing I can think of.

I just remembered, sometimes you run into this problem when you try to book on an overbooked flight.
Let's say I or C show 0 and you're to get the discounted business fare. On Emirates website the seats look fully bookable, but when you go through the process you will get that error message either when you try and get the fare pricing (if you did search by schedule), or at the final confirm booking page (if you've done a price search).
Try changing your flights - if you're flexible. Or Book for a later date/flight, then call up Emirates and change the dates (if your fare conditions allow for this).
I suggest you also contact Emirates first, make sure there is availability in the booking class you're after.

Thanks for your remarks.
I neither hold Amex nor Diners. The booking classes for discounted Business Class I am looking for are wide open on all flights. Problem occurs after schedule search on the final booking page.
According to EK's FAQ's it's my guess that some popup should come up after entering the cc details on the payment page for MC SC verification but this simply does not happen.
Never had this problem in the past (with VISA and prior to implementation of verification code).

Had some time before the same problem. Mastercard has very high security standards in comparison to other cards like VISA. But when you use the Secure Code, it should work. But you must also look out, when you try to book much times with the same card and all the transactions were not succesful, Emirates black lists your credit card number and you will never more be able to book anything on emirates.com with this credit-card! (I had the same problem) So maybe this might be the reason, why you can't book.
Kind regards

Have send info of the problem to EK Germany that was able to rebuild the booking today as a reservation for the initial online fare. Had the ticket issued tonight by the call center (which took ages due to slow computer system).
No idea though what the technical problem was. Maybe I need to establish a SecureCode no. before I make another booking through emirates.com and payment with Mastercard, I don't know...

Had the same problem today. Paying by MC didn't work and Paypal didn't work either. The call centre guy said it might be due to the business partner fare. Also, it didn't work with or without MC Secure Code as i switched that feature off.

This is happening to me. It's very annoying.
I'm trying to book a fairly complicated J class itinerary for 2 people. Takes ages to get to the final page and then gives the 'Sorry, the system was unable to complete your booking. Please try again.' message.
I'm using Amex, and I've confirmed with them that they haven't received the payment request.
I'll try again tomorrow, and then try phoning.
Cheers,
Rick

Well, I phoned the 'Online Booking Problems' number that appears on the UK website. I gave them my name and the date I am flying, and they were able to pull up the failed booking.
They took my Credit Card details and charged it OK.
It took about 5 minutes, so not too bad after all
Cheers,
Rick

I have the same problem!!! securecode stops my process with a Code 5. I have phoned the credit card company and all is OK at their end.
i am trying to book a flight for my Wife on Etihads.
while going through the On line process, I have been unable to book seats either on the BKK to AD Sector or AD to LHR sector or visa virsa, But always able to book 1 sector.
I understand that this is not a Etihads forum, But since i found the Topic on search on emirates , you maybe able to help me.
