delayed baggage comp + charge for return flight
i have tried searching the forums but couldnt find much info, hope someone can help.
ticketed in UK, my trip was:
outbound LHR-DXB-DEL
return: DEL-2 day stopover in DXB - LHR
I missed the outbound flight at LHR and was put on standby for the next flight. Fortunately, a seat became available at the last minute on the next flight and I was allowed to board the plane. Emirates did not charge me anything for this.
When I reached DEL, my bags did not arrive along with 100 other passengers. I did file a report at the airport and collected them personally when they arrived the next day (just over 24hrs).
Q1. Can anyone advise what compensation can I claim and whether I can claim without producing any receipts (I dont have any)?
On the return leg, while stopping over in DXB, I decided to leave for LHR a day earlier. I was advised by EK in DXB that there will be a change fee of GBP 50. Now my ticket says that 1 outbound change is free and I did convey this to the agent. First agent said that I had already used the 1 free change when I missed the flight and was offered the next flight so the fee will be applicable. I called again twice and the next 2 agents said that there is no endorsement on the ticket saying that outbound change is free. I did pay the 50 charge and can home early.
Q2. Can someone clarify whether the first agent's statement is valid or not? If not, I will speak to my travel agent about why I was charged for the outbound change as the itinerary they gave clearly says that 1 outbound change is free.
Thanks in advance for all the help,

Why did you not discuss this with EK at Delhi airport when the bags did not arrive? They would have been able to confirm what you were entitled to claim, receipted or otherwise.
