Indeed, there is a page in English. However, the summary of content that I translated is still not placed on the English page, even now.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday halted all flights to Israel until legal steps could be taken to allow the Home Front Command to transfer all travelers arriving in Israel to state-run quarantine hotels for 14 days.

Who is getting on these flights? Right now, only Israeli citizens will be allowed into the country -- and even they must be in isolation for 14 days.

BA has been running its 164/165 daily in recent days. Probably as cargo only, since they aren't mentioned on the IAA website. Turnover is about two hours; I don't see how they can leave the aircraft on the ground in TLV overnight, as the Globes article suggests.

I'm wondering the same. Even more than that when is Israel planning to lift restrictions on non-citizens? Perhaps they can require paperwork proving immunity? I know a lot of people who had the disease already and would thus be immune (according to most professionals) and would love to be able to reschedule trips that had been canceled when this ban had taken effect.

I think these flights are carrying max cargo weight (no aircraft can carry fuel fuel, full passenger load and full cargo. So the economics might not be as bad as it seems.
There is a huge demand for cargo, and many of the old fuel guzzing 747F and so forth are back in the skies.

Delta resuming JFK-TLV on May 8

https://www.globes.co.il/news/articl...did=1001326200

Delta resuming daily flight on May 8.

So now we have:
May 1 - BA resuming LHR-TLV
May 8 - Delta resuming JFK-TLV
May 20 - United resuming twice daily EWR-TLV and daily SFO-TLV
June - Air canada resuming YYZ and YUL

Today's ben gurion airport arrivals and departures also show the Korean Air flight and Ethiopian as well. Its unclear if those are one-off charters or if they have resumed regular service.

I dont see how all these flights are sustainable with the current citizenship and quarantine requirements for incoming passengers

From what I understand cargo rates are at all times high, so if the cargo is properly monetized, it's economical to operate even without pax on board

United and AC won't be restarting all those flights. No way. They just haven't published the cancellation continuations yet.

I don't care so much about the quarantine, but as a non citizen I wouldn't be able to even get in. If they allow non-citizens they will have people coming even if required to quarantine. Maybe not on the same scale but I know plenty who would still go.
