My pt was that TLV wasnt alone, at least with TLV its the LCCs that they treat as 2nd fiddle. And A3(Aegean) isnt a LCC and I saw 4 of their planes lined up that required being bused over to among a few other reg Carriers

Maybe this thread belongs in the MidEast section since it really has nothing to do with LY

It certainly has something to do with LY if UP and Sun d'Or will be flying out of Terminal 1. Also, with the exception of Jordan and Egypt, there are not many places in the ME that care at all how many terminals TLV has.

OK I forgot that these 2 are LY, I guess its like United Express which isnt owned by UA is a part of UA, so then these 2 should be considered LY. Then again I didnt know they used T1

But I admit you are correct and it does belong in this forum

Not like UAX as both subsidiaries, wholly owned by LY

OK I used UX as an example at 1 time I believe UA did own some or one of its RJ companys it used. For sure AA owned (still may be the case) Am Eagle. I think DL owned 1 of its RJ companys that also at the same time flew under AA and/or UA names as well, at times the same flight.

I only hope they will have a hand baggage only security line at T1 or it will be a step down from the situation currently in T3. I fly easy jet a lot with HBO.

Glad that they're opening more "real" capacity. I thought it was pretty silly that they were operating a pseudo terminal for check-in and then routing people to T3 to shop and then back?

No, they don't bring you back.
Check in process at T1, bus to T3 and you depart from there.

True although with a long bus ride to T3 often resulting in a long bus ride back to the T1 area to board from the stairs. This will certainly help to make T3 less crowded, although the lounges will probably be just as crowded. I seem to remember going to the lounge at the old T1 many years ago - off on the far right side of the gate area. Wonder if they'll open that up again.

Do you mean the old KD lounge? It was right at the end of the terminal to the left after going past passport control.

No - if I remember correctly there was an old non LY lounge on the right side - I think I used my Amex card to get in way back then.

In the old terminal on the far right was KDL and on the left was Dan lounge.

So, does that mean that the terminal will be used also for LCC's arrivals?

Are you sure about the KDL being on the right? I could have sworn you made a left after passport control once entering the departure hall, and all the way to the end, but perhaps my memory is deceiving me.
