Hi Tlvbased,

As May_East stated correctly, there is no specific order for the boarding proccess. Try to arrive at the gate early if you want to board as quickly as possible.

With no disrespect meant here, but...

Are there any plans of having a less Israeli process that's more normal? As in, with order? (Similar to the hand luggage security line in TLV which has order; NOT like passport control at TLV)

Normal for whom?

El Al is Israel, and so is balagan.

When in Rome...

I hope they abandon that idea. I find it far preferable to relax a little longer in the lounge and get on the aircraft last, as is the case with EL AL in Business or First, than the (ridiculous in my opinion) procedure other airlines follow of 'priority boarding'. Who wants to sit on the plane longer than absolutely necessary?

Well on plenty of airlines they will board Y passengers rows and allow C and F passengers (as well as status) to board at their leisure, which makes far more sense.

Nobody in EL AL will prevent a First Class passenger boarding early together with the economy passengers ...

All they need to do is have a priority boarding, and then have a bypass line for priority pax. It can be to first board F/TPL, then C/PL/GL, or something, and then once regular boarding starts, have a bypass line for F/TPL or F/C/TPL/PL/GL/SL, or some combination

I tend to agree. On Int flights, sometime I find the boarding time so long in advance..why bother...

But flying Y though, I would tend to board earlier because I find the hand luggage situation on El AL to be out of hand, both directions.

On a side note, they do ask for flyers with children and elderly to board first.

That makes far too much sense for El Al to do it.
