Cancelling trip with Matmid points
Does anyone know if you have we jad tp cancel a trip if they will rebank your points?
I am looking into insurance for our flights that were bought through Matmid through American Express. The insurance company told me that if the points are not rebankable they can insure us.
Anyone know the answer?

I might be mistaken but I'm pretty sure the T&C of Bonus tickets are that once ticketed there are no refunds.
This is a big minus compared to most other FF programs that actually allow some flexibility with redemption bookings (as a BA Gold card holder I have full flexibility to change or cancel any miles bookings with no penelty).

I know this is old but if I book roundtrip and want to refund the return segment am I better off issuing 2 separate vouchers? My travel agent says there is $150 redeposit fee does anyone else know?

Cancelling bonus tkt
I booked two bonus tkts to AMS in September 2012 for myself and my wife. For personal reasons we had to cancel and El Al put the tickets on hold for a year and we used them in August 2013. As far as I can remember there was no extra cost charged. Had we not utilised the tickets within 12 months I was told that the points would be refunded to my account (maybe this would have cost the $75 that others here have mentioned).
