3 gossips & Facts.....
Gossips:
- EL-AL to buy another 747, Some says from Singapore Airlines some says another company...
- In dew days there will be a big transformation in the food at EL-AL,
It was decided to abandon Tnuva and other external provider which comes in additional to food TAMAM (which is elal subsidiary) and everything will be done and marketed as EL-AL premium food, For Example, EL-AL Yogurts...
(not sure if EL-AL will make them or not as i am a bit sceptic about tamam, but it will be marketed as EL-AL ones)
- EL-AL credit card vision of mr. romano is raising from the death..., Someone in EL-AL thinks that with the amount of people transferring points from CCs to Matmid, If EL-AL will give extra benefits if they will use EL-AL ccs (Like Club365, PowerCard...) many will be convinced to move
Facts:
- EL-AL officially moves to Gate 32 on LHR
- EL-AL to "Shrink" (Later on probably cancel) co-operation with UA...
- 20% more points to all pax that will continue from JFK with JetBlue as a connection to existing EL-AL flight...
Enjoy!

Oh goody! And what about people who live in NY--or who are visiting there. I understand they want to promote Jet Blue--its a good airline I use it, BUT when I come back from Israel I am not going anyplace else.

What do you mean ?
Who did they listen to with their substandard new premium cabins?
Anyone tell them to make their website not suck?

I've never heard of an interline agreement between LY and UA. How did it make sense, considering they already had existing agreements with AA and DL! I've never seen the ability to book an LY segment from UA...

You don't honestly believe they have the slightest bit of influence on their decision making.

If they keep buying decommisioned planes from SQ, who knows, LY might get the A380, like this:

Now, to be serious again, when is LY going to understand that only buying old planes is not interesting both commercially and financially in the long run.

Plenty of people spend a hell of a lot of money with LY (and other airlines)

LY won't be able to hold off competition from US carriers offering lie-flat options in C, not to mention their lack of an extensive connecting network in the US.

Most airlines discuss changes and new product offerings with a sampling of their best customers and corporate travel managers, IIRC, LY did demo some of the seat candidates and picked one of the worst options.

They compete. its not seamless, though CO would hassle anyone for missing a flight. (see above). AA and B6 don't have as extensive a network as CO.
COUA offers a one-stop shop, and presumably they will @ either ORD/IAD in the future, probably ORD.
