easyJet Plus Card

I've just signed up for easyJet Plus, and received an email with my membership number, so I've been able to use the benefits like free seat selection and large cabin bag.

But I haven't been sent any sort of digital membership card, so I don't have anything to show if I am asked.

Does anyone know if there is a way to actually get a card (some people mentioned an Apple Pay/Google Wallet version of the card)?

How can I use the benefits like 10% off food and drink on board?

Ah this has also stung me! I actually called easyJet plus yesterday and they confirmed that the sending out of virtual cards is still on hold with no date yet! They did say they will send them when they are ready but I think it may be worth while to chase this!

Maybe in the mean time you can log into the website before boarding and show them your account to receive the 10% off?

I ran into this. There is an app, and I don't recall where I got the information from, for Android called WalletPasses and that was the only place I could put the card. It's worked whenever I have needed it and looks good with QR code, name, number, expiry.

Thats great but you cant add it to walletpasses until easyJet send you the email with the virtual card attached to it!

Tell them you're a plus member. Offer to show them the email confirmation that you got when you purchased easyJet plus

I took out my membership last March and the email had the virtual card attached. I think the file was a .pik file that I was able to import into the WalletPasses app. So just to be clear they are sending you an email saying you have easyjet plus but not attaching the virtual card (that's how it worked for me)? If that is the case then that's ridculous of them not to have an alternative solution. In the email they sent me it said "You will only require your virtual card to redeem benefits at the airport if you dont include your membership details in your booking.". So I would say that onboard they should know that you are easyjet plus. I cannot see the number on any of my old boarding passes though.

Bottom line, sounds like they have gone backwards.

Thanks everyone for the replies and the suggestions given - I'm glad I'm not the only one in the same position.

Yes, that does seem to be the situation now. There is no attachment on the confirmation email and no buttons/links to add a virtual card to Apple/Google wallet.

I chased them up yesterday and there's still no firm date to receive our cards.

Thought I'd follow up - I've flown a few times since posting, and onboard they've been happy with seeing the confirmation email showing an expiration date in the future.

I noticed on the Easyjet Plus website there is a button for "Manage Accounts" which is greyed out. I'm guessing when whatever the issue is, has been resolved, we'll use that feature to get our cards.

EasyJet's IT problems now seem worse than BA's, which is saying something. When we were applying for our news cards the website said our payment hadn't been authorised so we tried again only to get the same message so we tried a different card which the website was succesful. However, EasyJet had actually three payments (and allocated three easyJet plus numbers) which took weeks to sort out. Once we finally got a proper number we still can't log on to download an electronic version of the card to "wallet" so we have downloaded the welcoming letter and used this on board to get our discount (staff seem to be aware of the IT issues). The last time we spoke to the helpline they had no idea when the IT issues will be resolved.

The last 2 years there has been issues with Easyjet Plus and their virtual cards, I have had to call them several times with renewals because either the app links didnt work or email confirmation was not received, on android a different wallet app (wallet passes) has to be downloaded to use the virtual card as they cards dont load into the android os wallet! If they know this then why wouldnt they let their members know in the confirmation email? In all honesty the amount of time I have spend on calls to them about membership card or email issues is a joke considering the cost of membership and the size of the company. On the latter, about 2 months back both myself and my partner ended up nearly pulling our hair out with the person in the call center as they just didnt appear to understand what we were talking about! I called them today as the confirmation email for my partners renewal didnt arrive, so her card was out of date, I was told by the call center that they were changing to a new system and there were IT issues, he had no idea when these will be sorted. Solution just show the renewal confirmation email that he then sent me which has to be found in the email app when on a flight that has no internet and may need the email to be downloaded from the server if not having to keep closing alerts that the app is not connected to the internet!
I have complained about these issues a few times but it would appear that easyjet plus complaints are dealt with as efficiently as easyjet complaints and that is not or extremely poorly, by the looks if it!

An update on my situation: booked a flight for next year and went to put in my plus card number and was told it was invalid. Phoned them up: took about five attempts for her to get the number then she put us on hold and never came back. Phoned again; my card had been inactivated but she sorted that out and said it wouldn't happen again....we shall see. Just keep a copy of your original emai with the plus card number and you should be ok on board to get your discount.

When I phoned up Easyjet Holidays last year with a transfer query/request ... they put me on hold and eventually hung up ... twice!

Is this a regular issue with Easyjet?

Contacted easyJet customer service the other day, virtual cards seem to still be work in progress in terms of roll out
