My kids and I have been eating Bonchon a lot, as our local Bonchon is now cheaper than KFC even with delivery-service price raises (10 strips for $16.75 vs $22.99 for 12 at KFC) and with more meat per strip.
The two I mentioned above are about 25% cheaper than Bonchon.

Angry Chicken and Funny Plus in Aurora have gotten rave reviews. I'll head up there next time I go on an H-Mart run.
I talk about Kukje korean and still haven’t been to hmart. It’s a bit further so I’ve tried to avoid.

i have been a huge fan of bonchon for the past ~10 years, but they recently changed how they cook their chicken, and i'm extremely disappointed with the change. it seems much like chick-fil-a, which is not worth the price for the chicken.

it's a great pity, because bonchon knows how much sauce to put on the chicken to avoid making it slimy and stick to my teeth.

Looks like they're local over there or at least not around here

I'm reasonably happy with Bonchon, but would certainly not mind alternatives. I'm back to not going out to eat, so it has to be within delivery or pickup range of my particular south-of-SF peninsula town.

99 Chicken in Santa Clara hadn't changed their chicken in years (though I last went probably half a year ago). Cheaper than Bonchon, and not boneless but better.
Their peanut salad sauce (brown sauce, maybe not peanut) is amazing, and pickled daikon as well.

Probably because it is a chain but prices are jacked up everywhere. You pay for a meal and get appetizer portions. I tried Bonchon last month waiting for car repairs and while the food was ok, I couldn't see myself bringing the whole family out for a meal there. I think it would easily cost $120 for a family of 5. Not going to happen for what I deem fast food. Food in general but especially Korean food prices have gone off kilter. I'm just glad my wife can make most of this at home.
