Years ago at at KFC or some such, I arrived about 30 minutes before closing, told they were out of whatever chicken I had ordered, and was told they couldn't cook any more because they might not be able to sell it all before closing time. I suspect closing time was at least several minutes before the time posted on the door.

I too like KFC slaw, though I don't think it to be as good as it once was.

I had that happen at Subway as well. At 11:30 AM! How does that happen?

I was also working a a Pizza Hut take-out/delivery place the night of the OJ white Bronco chase, and we ran out of everything. We were down to thin crust only pretty quickly (the only kind you can make on the fly without waiting for rising), then that ran out. We were going to the grocery store in the strip mall for veggies and pepperoni. Lots of off-the menu pizzas going out until we just could do no more.

The franchisee is in financial trouble and didn't have enough cash flow to buy more that day. The first 6 words of the previous sentence is not uncommon.

And for what it is worth the people who I was buying the chicken for did ask me to order a bucket.

Back to the original topic... Actually all KFC's are out of chicken, the reason they changed the name to KFC is because there is no actual chicken in the food. I read it on the internet so it must be true

KFC: No bread for this sandwich, Fried Chicken as bread!

http://gizmodo.com/5508246/dear-god-...wich-is-coming
Are you looking to commit suicide very slowly with food? KFC is here to help! Its new Double Down sandwich is coming to a KFC sad factory near you on April 12th.

You see, it's a sandwich, but instead of bread it uses fried 'effing' chicken. And in between those two pieces of fried chicken? Bacon and cheese, of course.

I have got to try this, just for bragging rights, if not anything else.

The calorie count isn't nearly as bad as a lot of the other gutbusters available at many places, making me think this isn't that big.

I had one during its test marketing period: I think the unhealth is more likely to come
from the salt (the chicken is brined for tenderness and probably longevity) than from
the fairly hefty caloric hit. Though the cheese was pretty nasty, I rather enjoyed
the thing in a perverse way.

Somewhere around 5 years ago, I lost the ability to digest any KFC product. Something in their "secret herbs and spices" makes me ill. So, none of this sodium laden killer crap for me.
