Consolidated "KFC" thread
Drove through Kentucky Fried Chicken (store ID D644009) and ordered an 8 piece chicken feast meal. The voice at the other end says he is not sure they have that many pieces of chicken ready. Running out of chicken right now.
We get to the window. We are lucky. We get the last 8 pieces of chicken. The next customer will have to wait 15 minutes for chicken food at KFC... :D We drive home and open the package. A cole slaw order is missing. One of us drives back to KFC. Gets the coleslaw and a comp of macaroni and cheese. |
I was once at one of those All-in-One outlets (the three most prominent Yum brands - KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut - under one roof). Two charter busses parked outside, the passengers came in, and all of the food was pretty much wiped out shortly thereafter :)

There used to be a KFC in India that was 100% vegetarian. They only served assorted side orders and drinks.

Sometimes one wants to feed the whole family for under $10. Sometimes someone has a craving for the crap. It actually sounds pretty good about now. I don't think I've had it for a couple of years at least (and recently I went to Church's for the first time in several years and was sorry I did).
chicken in DC is under $2 a pound. sweet potatoes(yams) are $0.69. 1 part chicken, 4 parts yams. we make dog food out of it. we feed our dogs better food than you are feeding your WHOLE FAMILY. THE DOGS don't get cancers any more. |

we feed our dogs better food than you are feeding your WHOLE FAMILY. THE DOGS don't get cancers any more. Occasionally, a piece of so-bad-for-you-it-could-kill-you fast food is good. Fortunately, I usually get a headache, lethargy, and cramps, so I rarely do it. Back to the OP, the guy who had to wait actually got the good, hot and fresh chicken, worth the post-eating suffering! |
Went to a KFC in Taiwan at dinner time. 6-6:30 pm
They said sorry out of chicken. Please go to the next nearest KFC which was 10 minutes away. I initially thought there was a language barrier because I couldn't really speak any chinese but then they pointed to the racks and said NO CHICKEN. pointed to the fridge and said NO CHICKEN. Gave me free fries...... said come back tomorrrow. It was a wierd experience. |
Worked in a fried chicken joint when I was 15. We had a huge influx of patrons and by the middle of the afternoon, we ended up running out of chicken and corn on the cob. The people were more upset that we had no more corn than they were about the lack of chicken! Had to close the restaurant down for the day due to the food shortage.

On the other hand, I'll sure cook those two foods for myself, having recently expanded my sweet potator culinary spectrum to include an awfully tasty biscuit...I guess I'll name it "Ham & Yam" biscuits (although most sweet potatoes we see in US stores are not "yams" at all. |

i cannot believe you admit to eating that garbage. to the OP: funny story, i was once at Jack in the Box and they ran out of hamburger patties..so even though i had ordered chicken strips, i still got comp'd for my meal from the manager :D |
Not KFC, but ironic nonetheless. I have had two visits to two seperate Subways in the last year that were out of bread and not just waiting for more to bake, literally out.

I havent eaten at KFC in a while, but do enjoy their fried apple pies. I think they are one of the few places left that fry their pies :)
