Seriously, beans? How does a Taco Bell run out of beans? Not only is it their most fundamental ingredient, it probably comes in cans and never goes bad, so they should have just filled a stock room with them! And it was literally every time, too, so shouldn't they know to place a slightly larger order the next week? I got so tired of calling the national customer service line and receiving coupons good for free items (which I couldn't use, since they were always out) that I simply quit complaining... |

I am afraid you can't feed a family of four for 10 bucks at KFC anymore. I was at a clients facility recently and was invited to their monthly potluck dinner(lunch) I mentioned that I couldnt cook anything and they suggested a bucket of chicken from KFC. A 20 piece bucket was nearly 40 bucks !!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one. :) I always compare any cole slaw I eat to KFC's, and very few measure up.

This thread sucks... I have a hankering for fried chicken now. :( |
I have a KFC near my house with wierd pricing for buffalo wings.
10 pcs for 5.99 18 pcs for 9.99 35 pcs for 19.99 I think they come in prepacked frozen packages. It costs more per peice at 35 pcs. |

BV Jr#1 used to manage a Taco Bell at night while he was in High School. IIRC, the beans are actually a powder in a bag that is mixed with hot water.

Either they're arithmetic challenged or hoping their customers are. Gatorade's the same way at Wal*Mart. The 2X container works out to be a few cents more than buying two of the smaller bottle.
I'd like to say I was an early marketing genius, but alas... Perhaps they bought the two-pack simply out of pity for me! :D |

In honor of this thread, I had a fried chicken thigh from the Safeway Deli for lunch.

Just go to a store, buy something that costs $1.53. Hand them a $5 bill. After they punch "amount tendered $5" into the register, hand them 3 cents. At least half the cashiers can not figure out the correct change - seriously. Quite sad. |

Your good citizen award is on its way.
The whole world is proud of you. No maybe you can allow other people to eat what they like and give up the moral high ground. Anyone claiming a cure for cancer surely deserves more - a Nobel Prize perhaps? |

I apologise for missing the merits of the post. |
