Went to the Beyu Caffe in Durham today, they have their own coffee menu including a few specialty treats: http://beyucaffe.com/menus/
The Peanut Butter Mocha was seriously excellent.

This has been an interesting read. I guess that I have a very simple palate. My absolute favorite is Community Coffee New Orleans Blend (dark roast with chicory) with Caf Du Monde a close second. Dark, rich, smooth and strong. Not my usual morning coffee (it's sad to waste it at a time when I simply need coffee in order to kickstart my brain) but my go to when I really, really want to enjoy my coffee. Au lait

I use a cheap Delonghi grinder - about $40 - and grind small amounts at a time which stops it getting too hot. No faffing about cleaning it as I don't bother and the coffee tastes fine to me.....well as good as it's going to get here considering the crap quality they sell at extortionate prices.

Specialty coffee is typically one made with liquor. There's are different roasts from different regions, blends and single origin coffees. Whether it's worth it or not depends on you. That you're asking about it means that it probably doesn't.
