Haven't had much repeat experience with many cities so I don't know too much about amazing restaurants.

That said...

Sammamish, WA (home)- Teriyaki Bistro
The South- Chick-fil-a (as somebody else mentioned earlier)

Thanks for this suggestion...I checked out some reviews and most people seem to like the food. I may be in Vegas March 10-14, so I'll certainly make good on the all-you-can-drink wine if I dine there!

I am stunned by how many people have brought up what is basically a mall food-court chain chicken place as an example of what is good to eat in the South...I could give you plenty of better suggestions than that.

If you're in BNA when I'm there, let me know, I will take you for "meat-and-three" and you can understand Southern home cooking.

I think it's more of just a craving for a certain fast-food chain - much like the In-N-Out fanatics...there's something about a Chick-fil-A chicken biscuit in the morning that isn't easily replicated. The same with a chicken strips salad in the afternoon or evening!

I wouldn't bother trying to compare fast food with sit-down such as a good meat-n-three! I know better than that!

I'll second that thought... Chick-Fil-A is just chicken. And they're closed on sunday, even at the airports that have 'em. I've had food there twice and I haven't gone back in since.

I would go back home just to eat a delicious vegan ham and soy cheese sandwich with alfalfa sprouts on multigrain bread (inspired by the nasty-but-yummy foods thread)

I would also go back to NYC just to eat cheese fondue (followed by chocolate fondue) at La Bonne Soupe.

As long as you eat it by yourself.
