Appetizer: A dozen raw oysters, various locations (depending on time of year and type of cocktail sauce/horseradish accompanying them)
Soup: Lobster Bisque from Mecca in Palm Harbor, Florida
Main Course: Loc Lac from The Elephant Walk, Boston, Massachusetts
Side 1: My mom's squash casserole, Shelby, North Carolina
Side 2: Fried Okra from Piccadilly Cafeteria, many locations
Dessert: Shave Ice in various flavors, North Shore Oahu, Hawaii

Throw in fresh strawberries and broccoli, and good Western NC barbeque every once in a while, and that's all I'll need to eat for life.

There WILL be chocolate and avocados in Heaven

Since this is Heaven, these will be made with fresh, perfect ingredients using perfect techniques...
  • Mushroom risotto finished with a spritz of truffle oil.
  • Apricot jam, goat cheese and proscuitto pannini.
  • Dense chocolate cake with dark, rich chocolate icing.
  • Spinach salad with Heaven-made strawberry vinaigrette.
  • Good tortilla chips, great salsa and even better guacamole.
  • Prime rib with horseradish cream sauce.

I hope there will be never-ending always-in-season fruit orchards and berry fields, too....

My personal Heaven will have:

- My sadly now passed away Grandmother's apple pie.
- Chinese Food from the erstwhile Hunan Garden in Rye, NY (closed in 2003), the gold standard I measure all others against.
- Scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam
- The best croissants you can imagine with butter that is so easy to spread you won't believe it, and again strawberry jam
- Steak from Gibsons in Chicago with the best sides (mashed potatoes and onion rings).
- Butter Crunch Ice Cream Hot Fudge Sundaes from Friendly's.

1. Sweet corn, just picked, steamed or roasted.
2. Tomato from my garden. Falling-off-the-vine ripe.
3. My spouse's beer-can chicken.
4. Duck Confit from Cafe Atlantico in DC
5. Lamb chops (In Heaven, would that be Agnus Dei?)
6. Anything from Morimoto in Philly.

Hot lobster roll with butter from Neptune Oyster in Boston. I had this a couple of weeks ago and honestly it was one of the best meals I have had in my life.
