So, I'm still sticking with crawfish being my #1, despite agreeing with a number of posts I've seen since I first posted in this thread. But, I have to ask whether any of y'all are familiar with a French dessert called île flottante? I first had it in Nice, France, during a yearly conference that has since moved to Vienna, Austria. When done well, it's an AMAZING desert! However, I haven't been anywhere outside the south of France that does it justice.
I also wouldn't mind going back to Nice for some of that incredible gnocchi in beef sauce that I had that one evening ...

burek, baby!
If you put a piece of filling, greasy, heavy, crispy burek in front of me after a 6-course meal of martinis, lobsters, rare ribeyes, and blini with caviar, I would sit down and throw down without batting an eye.
click here for origen, pics, and description of yummy burek There is nothing in the world like it. Especially when drank with Euro-style plain drinkable yogurt. Hubba hubba. |
I am presently on a Wheat Thins kick I have finished off a couple of those hugantic boxes they sell at Costco all by myself.
