Consolidated "Chipotle" thread
Does anyone know of any airports that have a Chipotle? I find myself often getting my burrito on the drive to the airport and eating it while I wait for my flight. A hot burrito is better though.
|
Specifically Chipotle? (the McDonalds entry into the Mexican food market). You can get passable burritos at SJC, PDX, LAX
|
Ideally yes, but any good burrito will do.
Thanks. |
There are plenty of Chipotles near airports... but I do not know of any inside an airport... unfortunately. Chipotle is yummy!

Thanks. I also second SJC and OAK (I believe it's called 360 degrees or something). |
I like that place in DIA - good all around.
|
Que Bueno, I believe
|
SeaTac has a Qdoba in the food court. That's basically the same as Chipotle (I prefer it slightly)
|
Burrito before a flight? What a mean passenger you are!
La Salsa is in LAX in T7. |

Qdoba is 100% owned by Jack in the Box, and again is run as a separate company. |

I found the burrito place in SJC to be nasty. Just a head's up.
|
The burrito place in SFO (at the turn from the AA terminal to UA) isn't anything to write home about either.
|
Can you eat two Chipotle burritos in one sitting?
Not that burrito-bol crap, I mean the real thing.
|
There was an OMNI thread about this a few years ago. IIRC, one poster posted success; with some consequences later that day. :D
I probably could, but I don't want to go through the trouble. |
It all depends on how long I can sit! :)
|
I bet I could eat four if I was very hungry .:D
mike |
I know someone that can gladly eat 4 of them, and he's a very small guy.......
|
I can't gladly eat one of them. I could probably eat two of similar size from another place where I actually liked the burritos, as long as I ate them quickly enough before I realized how uncomfortable I was about to become for the next day or so.
|
Doesn't one of them contain a week's worth of calories???
|
One of those is two meals for me, or one meal for me and the Mrs.
|
yes i could and have done so but that was after eating MREs for 10 days after hurricane deployment. no real ill effects just a little more fiber then my body was used to.
|
Nope. One max. That's it. Two is a LOT! :)
|
1.5 and I was so stuffed afterward!
|
Sure, that would be a good amount of food but not impossible. Can you Magician or have you?

I figure I ran 11 miles today, I needed to replenish them calories. :) |

Never tried, although I think I could easily. I did have one plus half of my wife's burrito bol and a bag of chips with guac tonight.

I can barely finish HALF of one!
|
my play is to order two, eat 1.5 for lunch, then the rest when i get home from work.
it's not healthy. |

Is this thread started because of "Man vs. Food" on The Travel Channel? I have sadly done two Chipotle burritos in a sitting and a week later did the same at a Qboda in Ft. Worth. I secretly love M v. F. and look to see what he tries to do every episode. There is no way I could eat 4 breakfast tacos in Austin, but the 6 HOT wings could be done by me...I mean that.
|
Two?
Yes, if I had to. |
IIRC a Chipotle burrito is about 1200 calories.
I think I could easily crush two. Never tried; but I think it would be pretty easy. Especially after a nice century. I once ate 2 dozen deviled eggs (one dozen whole eggs), 70cL of Duvel, about a gallon of water, a few chicken breasts and a massive bowl of pasta salad after a 115 mile ride in 95F, 90% humid heat. 6k of climbing helped drain every last carbohydrate in my body. Cheers, -Andrew |
Since the opening of the first Canadian Chipotle location last summer, I've been there a few times but haven't tried eating two in one sitting. I can say that the Canadian version is a bit smaller than the American version (IMHO).
I lost my Chipotle virginity while visiting some friends in Aurora, CO a few years back. Now that was an experience.  |
I wouldn't want to make a pig of myself so I'd order 1 burrito and an order of tacos on the side.
Seriously, I could eat 2 if they'd use refritos instead of those awful black beans. |
I can barely eat half a burrito. I suppose I could eat 2- if I haven't eaten anything in the last month and was returning from some long journey in the desert.
|
Two? No, but now that you mentioned Chipotle while I'm hungry and about to go to sleep, I'm going to have to go there first thing tomorrow. Thanks. There goes my diet.
We should just air drop Chipotle burritos into areas around the world suffering from hunger or malnutrition. You'd only have to drop like ten or eleven burritos total, and the whole problem would go away. |
