I used what I had in the fridge. I mixed mayo with ghee (my butter wasn't soft enough) and a few shakes of tajin and spread that all over the corn after it was grilled and sprinkled with parmigiano reggiano and maldon salt. Sometimes I use just mayo and parm.

Hrm... I have butter....and an old jar of spicy salt.... and some parm as well (last time I buy parm at Costco.... six months of trying to find places to uses it and still only 1/3 of the way in....) I wouldn't mind trying on the cob, but prices this year are stupid crazy (3 cobs for $2.... only two years ago.... I think.... it was something like 9 cobs for $2). Guess I'll have to be creative.... thanks!

4/$1 a week ago but tasteless. I paid $0.40 each this week and it’s the best corn of the season.

mayo?
Von's has it on the cob at 10 for $4.00. I think I paid more at a different store.

The season is just beginning. :)

Safeway had it 8/$1 a couple of weeks ago and it was quite good. It was bi-color though and we much prefer yellow. It is increasingly difficult to find these days.

Got mayo, just had more than I really wanted earlier this week (neighbour brought over some tuna salad, more mayo than tuna). Gotta harvest some of my green onions tomorrow so will likely toss some of that in there.

Is there any real difference? We get mostly peaches and cream variety corn here. Only the tips are usually white. I've never noticed any difference in taste. Another reason I haven't bought corn on the cob... ours are usually unhusked (which is fine) and there are signs posted that say if you husk them, prices double.... but the people always husk them and leave a massive mess on the floor. Kinda discourages me. (and the cashiers are afraid to actually charge the extra).

Finished off the last of the rice dumplings I had.

Yes. Big difference. The white and bi-color are much sweeter. Often too sweet. The yellow has less sweetness and more corn flavor.

I picked up some ground beef this evening at Sprouts and made burgers. Rather than buns, I used lettuce I harvested from my garden this evening as a bun. Topped with some cheddar cheese, tomato, avocado and some spinach. Easy and healthy meal.
