And we wonder why we have an obesity problem in the United States? Almost 2 lb of pizza split between two adults? Just the thought makes me want to vomit. Reason number 50 why I hate Chicago pizza.

I will reiterate what I recently said in a thread elsewhere, that it is a culinary abortion.

Don't hate the pizza....people have choices on whether to eat a whole, half or small slice. And it isn't just Chicago pizza---people overeat all kinds of pizzas. People eat whole buckets of chicken too or giant burgers and fries. Or pints of ice cream.

How dare you today such mean things about pizza. 😢 Chicago style pizza is so good. We had a Pizzeria Uno close to my university and and they would even bill to our student account. Such good memories.
it is possible to buy deep dish while eating a controlled portion. Ultimately it’s the consumer’s choice and responsibility about how to eat within their health limits (or as I say in the Omni housing thread, buying within budget) :-) I used to buy a basic-sized $1 donut and eat half while sharing or tossing the other half. |
For you deep dish Chicago pizza lovers....this looks like a good deal + free shipping.

where would one store them??? :-) I assume one needs storage for 3 of the pizzas. Safeway had a $1.97 promo for frozen pizza and it was too large for my freezer even if I had nothing in the freezer. 16” or 18” pie. Too big for red retro. Still struggling to imagine where or how I could store it. I was tempted lol |

There is no reason IMO to buy crap pizza no matter what the price or storage issue. . But if you are determined you could always cut it through the middle so you would have 2 halves in separate freezer bags and much easier to fit. Or just buy it and cook it instead of storing it. |

Big yay. yet for those with space, this Gino east is a great idea. |

Firecakes, a place I go to at least once every chicago visit had a sign up in their store last weekend when I was there that they are part of goldbelly now. They want $69 for a dozen and you can't chose the type and they probably won't be as fresh coming the next day.
As much as I love their donuts this is a very easy pass. |

I caved and ordered Gino's East. With my monthly $20 AmEx restaurant credit, it comes to $13.80 per pizza. Due to ship 6/21.

I’ve placed two orders to take advantage of the $50 off $100 Amex offer. The Smoked Hot Links + Pork + Lamb Rib Pack
From Davila's BBQ arrived at defrosted fridge temperature, with a few gel ice packs in the box. The food was just ok, honestly not as good as the ribs I make myself, not nearly as good as the best ribs I can buy locally. I paid about $70 total, and I don’t think it was worth the money, or the carbon burned to ship it to me. My second order was Wagyu Manhattan Filet Steak - 2 Pack from Westholme Wagyu. I paid $90 after the offer. The two small (6oz) steaks came in a large styrofoam crate with dry ice, and were still frozen solid. I haven’t cooked them yet, but they look great, with tons of marbling. They’re very expensive but I think if you want to splurge on a luxury item they might be a decent value. i don’t think I’m going to use the offer the third time. |

If you think you'll want to order in the future do what I did and just buy a gift card. I bought three $100 gift cards. With Chase payyourself back, I've been ordering a lot from Goldbelly since it qualifies as a grocery purchase and I Have a ton of chase points and I'll just use the Goldbelly gift cards after payyourself back ends. |

Looking to send my Aunt a tasty housewarming gift and went down the Goldbelly rabbit hole. She loves Paris so I thought of just going for some macarons, but also considered a nice fruity cake. Anyone get an especially good cake, tart, something like that?
