Same. Laduree has some really pretty little gift boxes as well.

I made the Goldbelly plunge today, even without an eligible AMEX.
I discovered a company in Key West that offers egg-free key lime pie (and produced in a nut-free facility), and they are offering two pies for $65 shipped. Looking forward to seeing Miss Swede try it. |

Did you use any Goldbelly offers? They almost always have a $15-20 off coupon.

You can make key lime pie at home using sweetened condensed milk...without eggs. And use graham cracker crust.
I also discovered today that Costco's key lime pie is egg-free. I could've saved $35, but I suppose having "legit" key lime pie shipped from Key West is nice, too. Maybe I'll just keep them frozen since they won't be shipped until next week and buy the one from Costco. |
I love tomato pies. Goldbelly had Maruca's Tomato Pies on sale a couple weeks ago. BIG mistake. First of all they were to have arrived on a Tuesday and they delayed the shipping to arrive that Friday without contacting me. Fortunately I was home because there wasn't an option to cancel the order. Get the pies and these are not tomato pies. There are like a regular thin crust cheese pizza. They were ok but not worth nearly what they charged for them. Big disappointment.

Tell Goldbelly about it. I got Detroit style pizza that arrived unfrozen by the time it got to me. Got a full Goldbelly credit. Not arriving on the day promised is in itself a reason for a refund.
I've always had good luck with all my other Goldbelly purchases. I just wish they would have contacted me to tell me the shipping date was delayed and given me the option to cancel as soon as they knew. |

Anyways, I bought a pie from Costco, and it's good, but not as tart as I would have liked. |

The person I talked to at the Key Lime Pie Co. (511 Greene Street, Key West FL 33040) was super pleasant and said they were produced in a nut-free facility. Imagine my surprise when I get a shipping notice from FedEx that GOLDBELY is sending me a package from...Madison, WI? Sent on 7/27 via FedEx Ground with delivery on 7/30. It's almost 95°F every day this week (storage instructions say to keep frozen); I can't imagine they could have packed that much dry ice in a reported 23lb package.
Super first world problem, but I'm pretty disappointed to learn they are made in some ghost kitchen 1000 miles away. Upon further reading, they were featured on The Profit and struck a deal with Marcus Limonis. Increasing margins as much as they can, it appears. Anyways, I bought a pie from Costco, and it's good, but not as tart as I would have liked. Hopefully the pies will be good. If not, then just get them refunded, pointing out the dry ice/ghost kitchen problems. |

I thought that all goldbelly was FedEx overnight. Did they err when sending it ground? Ugh.
In my case of receiving the pizza on a friday instead of tuesday it was because the restaurant decided to ship them out thursday instead of monday and they never sent me an email about the delay. I think they came thawed because they didn't use dry ice and the ice had melted but maybe they packaged them a lot earlier before UPS arrived to pick them up. The pizza had to be thawed before heating, just not sure how the other two will be since i had to refreeze them. I haven't tried the other two yet since I'm not in a big hurry to eat them seeing the first one wasn't that impressive |
