$3.99/lb organic at Norcal Whole Foods (Prime special) - Red, from Warshington. Good colo(u)r, not particularly delicious.

The ones I got at WF in NYC this week were a little paler than I like (non-organic looked better but cost more), but were surprisingly good. Same Prime pricing.

Youll be delighted to know that Safeway has among other things northwest grown cherries for $1.97 lb at a 3-day sale for club members this weekend, 1 offer per household per day.

I finally got around to Whole Foods today and got a "Wild" Sweet Cherries, Intensely Sweet & Tart from Washington, $4.99 lb ($5.99 w/o Prime). My take on them is the same as yours. I noticed Rainier at $6.99 lb, organic at $7.99 lb. I also stopped by the local upscale Mollie Stone's and Woodland's, both $8.99 lb for Bing and WA respectively.

I’m going to Safeway tomorrow to hopefully get in on the $1.99/lb action. I just ate a bowl of cherries and they were yummy.

Costco this week had $8.99 for a 2lb of Rainer cherries under the brand name "Nature's Candy" -- happy to report that they do in fact taste like Nature's Candy. I gave my wife fair warning in case she wants some but not sure they'll last until the weekend at this rate
corky likes this.

Skylar Rae cherries $9.99/lb at Fresh Market. New to me. Look like Rainer cherries and very, very sweet.

Even better, mix in a bunch of fresh cherries with your Cherries Jubilee ice cream.

ooh thats a good idea - I did get the $1.97/lb cherries and could indeed try it. Is it that impossible for you to get cherries jubilee ice cream? Can you ever return to USA to get it?

They are. I bought two bags today; self-checkout didnt object to going past the announced limit of one.

Sure, I can return. I’m not on a watchlist, dude... I even have tickets next month, but I think SQ and BR aren’t going to be flying the legs. Likely I will sit tight until the fall.

The times I’ve checked, they didn’t have Cherries Jubilee at the local BR here. The prices are also pretty insane. I love having a BR ice cream cake for my birthday, but only with my favorite flavor.

(It’s funny, I just noticed that I used BR for both EVA and Baskin Robbins)

Doh I didnt think to try to get it past the self-checkout. Im going to still return to Safeway tomorrow (later this morning)... I had cherries jubilee ice cream but on a cone and not with cherries. Ive gotta try the cherries to make sure theyre great :-)
I only use self-checkout unless its closed but I definitely didnt know I could sneak past the limit.

Um, so you can return but you cant yet return. At least Robbins will still be there for you. Also when a haircut and massage are both $1, paying a premium price for Robbins isnt that awful since its all offset together :-)

Thats the thing, BR doesnt actually stock 31 flavors here. Maybe a dozen. And Ive never seen cherries jubilee here. Id pay $10 for a pint on my birthday. Id hate to think how much cherries are here for a pound.

Oh, and my normal 2 hour massage at my house isnt $1. More like $13.50 with tip. It can be brutal, though. Very deep muscle massage, and I usually have bruises afterwards.

doh, went back to get cherries and forgot to try more than 1 bag. Its 2 pounds and there is a limit of how much we can eat... these also had the Natures Candy brand (TM) as red cherries. I got rainier at $5.99/lb.

Safeway doesnt stock 31 flavors of Robbins but I did take a picture with someone in mind. I had a new request for peanut butter chocolate, and had success. Our red freezer is getting full. I love the drawers aspect compared to just open shelving but we are a cabinet based family - put stuff inside and close those doors whenever possible!
