I’m a whole bean coffee consumer but what are these ground coffees like??
Also I get so excited by roast dates with coffee beans. I tend to buy the coffee that’s most recently roasted as opposed to brand / organic although I try to pay $16 at the most for a 12-Oz bag.

I found a bag of coffee that had a roast date of 4/8/2020 on that day. Super fun. I can drink almost any good coffee since I doctor it with oat milk. But I once bought a package at Trader Joe’s and I really disliked it - it was their more expensive organic coffee and it tasted like a cup I once bought at a gas station when I was in a rush and in need for a coffee (the days before I got a machine in 2016).
I definitely think that the allegro (Whole Foods) coffee is slightly brutal or harsh but of course it’s cheaper than most 12-Oz bags.

I have a very close friend who lives in South Kona. He grows a small batch of organic Kona coffee (as much to keep his Ag designation as for the coffee). He sends it to a small local roaster who roasts to perfection and he only sells it to friends. Best. Coffee. Ever.

The richest and smoothest coffee I ever drank was a Jamaican Blue Mountain. It was amazing but also amazingly expensive. It's also nigh on impossible to get here in the UK.
I found a local coffee roaster that does good coffee which, they are happy to put in the post. They have a lot of choice and a decaf blend that's amazing. I'm going to have to put an order in for some sometime this week.

If you don't have your own coffee bean roaster, consider ordering from vendors that roast their coffee beans only after receiving the orders.
