I made it my mission to find and dine at the closest In N Out to LAX, ONT, PSP, SAN, FAT, and LAS either right before flying out or right after arriving. The food is
better, fresher, and more dependable than what you get on board and the service is friendlier. Plus it's a great way to say hello or goodbye to California (or Vegas)
before or after a flight to or from the East Coast

I went to this one on opening day (September 4) since it's technically closer to me. I went around noon, and the parking lot was quite empty and the drive-thru wasn't terribly long. There was even a few minutes where no one was ordering at the dine-in counters (though almost every table inside was occupied). One of the local news stations was there, and I guess they were hoping it would be like previous openings. By the time I left with our carry-out, the parking lot had filled up a bit more since it is close to a large hospital and lots of medical offices.

Since then, I've done the drive-thru at this location once (maybe 15 minute wait) and carry-out at Park Meadows (10 minute wait tops). Tasty as always.

I went to the new one in Parker last Monday. The parking lot was full and the drive through was maybe 20 cars deep. They had people taking orders at the cars. We chose to eat in our vehicle. They gave us place mats for our laps to sit our meals on. All fresh ingredients served hot as ordered. Better, fresh food and cheaper than the alternatives. It was 70+ degrees outside, but no one was eating outside.

yeah, I’m aware of that. Very bad city. It’s not possible for us to go to San Francisco or Oakland. Too many homeless people in Oakland and San Francisco. That’s big problem!!

Perhaps you can come back to California or Las Vegas. You are always welcome to come. Go out a nice long lunch at In N Out Burger. Just enjoy yourself.

I think I found a winning combination...

I go to In-N-Out and order our burgers. While I'm waiting, I order fries from the McDonald's app (fortunately, there is one between home and In-N-Out). After I get the burgers, I do a 2-minute detour to pick up the fries. Best of both worlds. :)

I do this sometimes at those random cities along I-5 in between SF and LA

I haven’t been to an In N Out in many months but we decided to stop by the flagship location on Francisquito driving home from a class

I just don’t understand why their fries get so cold so fast. I could see them come out of the fryer, dumped in the tray, put in the box - even my animal fries received extra heating to melt the cheese - but within a couple minutes of getting them to the table, both orders of fries were cold

I can only theorize it’s the lack of chemical coatings so there is a plus/minus component to the problem

I can eat in and out burger sometime this month or so. We’ll see how that goes for me though.

They are single fried. This is why they go from meh to crap quickly and are never excellent.

Exactly, and they are also cut too thin. I also know a couple of people who think they're the best fries on the planet.

I think they are some of the worst fries on the planet. I am sure there is a worse one but I don't know about it.

Yeah, they don’t doing a good job of keeping it hot enough. They are not making hot French fries. That’s the problem!
