I have a rule where I like nuts by themselves (mmm ramekin in First Class) but not in anything. I want my cookies, brownies etc. to be nut free.

Ditto. Not nuts or fruit in baked goods, with the exception of blueberry muffins, but only a few blueberries.

As for cookies, the class NYC black & white or a homemade chocolate chip, with comparatively few chips.

I'd forgotten about the cookies you can buy in the big box at Ikea. Two really crispy wafers with chocolate between them. Pretty good stuff.

mmmmm, Biscoffs. By far my favorite packaged cookie.

Does the spread count as a cookie?

MMMMMmmmmm

Like several others, I like cookies! I really enjoyed this thread because I'm on a diet at the moment and I can only enjoy cookies vicariously. The first variety that came to mind is store bought - Plain Chocolate Hob Nobs. I fell in love with these many years ago, but it is hard to find any in Texas. (milk chocolate just won't do.)

As for others, chocolate chip with Texas pecans, white chocolate macadamia nut, oatmeal, and little cinnamon cookies from Mom's recipe.

Okay, I'm stopping now because I'm getting hungry.

Your favorite cookie

I make cookies once a week for my office (start-up). Favorites to date - snickerdoodles, banana walnut, almond meal brownies, and Jacques Torres chocolate chip with vanilla sea salt. I am not a fan of cookies that I buy with the exception of hobnobs, Amaretti and anything that comes from Ottolenghi

Sub pecans for walnuts and you are 100% correct. I put a pinch of cinnamon in mine.

Call me crazy but I love the Subway cookies, especially when they are fresh out of the oven.
