Godeval Cepas Vellas Godello 2019, from Valdeorras in Galicia.
I was wholly ignorant of this white grape (godello), but now I am going to look out for more of it. More heft to it than albariño. Delicious.

I love albariño, so I’ll have to keep an eye out too.

Pieropan Calvarino Soave Classico 2019
Raimbault-Pineau Sancerre 2020

Both very solid.

Orin Swift Slander Pinot Noir 2017. Very good indeed.

Pondview Estate Riesling, courtesy of VIA Rail.
It's about what you'd expect for a cheap Niagara Riesling. I've had worse wines on trains; also better.

Went well alongside a Costco lasagna and mixed greens.

Celebrating an anniversary with Marques de Riscal 150 Anniversario 2016 at the eponymous hotel. Still as fantastic as the last vintage we had (2010).

Four hours of Escape Lounge OAK swill today. This was not the plan. Hopefully I'll arrive in the LA area in time after WN's rolling mechanical delay in time to pick up some Seder worthy wine.

It is probably easy to down a couple bottles of that before you know it (so long as you don't stand up...)

The remains of this evening's lineup:

Billecart-Salmon Blanc de blancs
Domaine Weinbach Muscat 2019
Yannick Amirault St-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil 2003
R Dubois & Fils Nuits-Saint-Georges 2010
D'Oliveiras Bual Madeira 1968

The St-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil was probably the most impressive of the lot - I think we got it at just the right age. Spicy, floral, a lot more intense than I expect Loire reds to be. Very nice with grilled lamb sausages.

The madeira was also excellent in a very refined prune-juice kind of way, though getting the cork out and decanting it was a white-knuckle experience.

Over the Easter weekend:

Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2020, New Zealand
Birichino Saint Georges Pinot Noir 2018, California
Marc Morey et Fils Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers 2014

Also had a glass of Fess Parker Santa Barbara County Riesling (unknown vintage) last week, had no particular expectations but found it quite enjoyable.
