Best Burger
What is the Best Hamurger you've eaten this year..only this year!
For me: Steak burger at Mortons Steak House in Miami, FL |
The Bozzi Burger at The Palm Westside (50th/8th) in NYC.
|
Im gonna have to go with PJ Clarks in new york, its on the corner of 55th and 3rd, i think theres one in the financial district too. The burgers are unbelievable! and reasonably price.. Go with just the normal cheeseburger or sliders
|
Club Pacific, Brisbane Australia
I was surprised to get a great burger at the Pacific Gold Club in Brisbane recently.
From their menu Wagyu Burger: 100% Wagyu beef pattie served on a toasted bun with bacon/ egg/ pineapple/ bacon/ beetroot/ lettuce and tomato with salad and chips $14.50 Yes, $14.50 for a burger is expensive, but with Wagyu, it's money well spent. I got my beef cooked blue and it was just fantastic. |
A double-double animal style at In 'n Out!
Wish my waistline could tolerate them every night of the week! |
Costco ground round grilled by CessnaJock and enhanced by Mrs. with the classic fixins:
Gruyère or Emmental Lettuce Tomato Onion 57 Dill slices Heaven. Runner-up: Winstead's Kansas City |
The barbeque burger at Gourmet Burger Kitchen in London. It has something to do with the relish they use.
|
OK tried a great burger today at a chain joint called Foster's in Manassas, VA they have places all over the map....char-grilled and really good! For the people in SW Florida, they are finishing one in Cape Coral with one to come next in Ft Myers.
|
At the "Burger Bus" (an old schoolbus painted in light blue-retasked as a burger kitchen) coming from Hatcher`s Pass back to Anchorage in Alaska-just great.
second best-the kobe beef burger at the burger bar at the mandalay in vegas. cheers |
I'll have to add another New York spot to the list. Big Nick's on the corner of Broadway & 77th. Try the Port Cheddar Cheeseburger..
|
Another NYer here... The Double Shack Burger from Shake Shack on 23rd and Madison.
|

Old Homestead Steakhouse on 9th Ave between 14th & 15th. It bills itself as the oldest steakhouse in NYC. It's right on the cusp of the meatpacking district and southern Chelsea. One of their sirloin burgers topped with anything is to die for. At $15+ for the burger alone ( no sides or toppings included), it's probably one of the more expensive burgers in NY also.
|
Okay this is a little stretch but Famous Dave's BBQ has a BBQ burger with bacon that is about 2500 calories of pure joy!
|
Im going to the other thread...see ya! :)
|
The Convention Grill in Minneapolis - Also the best French Fries and Thick Malts!
|
The Burger Lounge in La Jolla, it was absolutely delicious.
|
Two suggestions
Tyler's in Palm Springs has great sliders and perfect fries every time. Get the combo with an Arnold Palmer and your day has been made.
In Cincinnati, there's a place called Zips which claims to offer the best burger in town. I've had it. It's damn good. Try one. Zips is near The Echo which offers its trademark fish sandwiches on Fridays only. Zips on Thursday, Echo on Friday, and then Skyline on the weekend and I may never leave the city. |
Anyone experience a good burger in SEA? heading there this month

America's Best Burger Cities 2012
Travel + Leisure - America's Best Burger Cities 2012
I know we each have our favorites across America... :) Top 5 from T+L's list : 1. Providence, RI 2. Philly 3. Chicago 4. Houston 5. San Juan, PR :) |
Absolutely absurd. The best burger city is and always has been Los Angeles (and more importantly it's suburbs). After that, it would trickle north up the central valley all the way to Redding.:)
|
My favorite place for a burger is Tokyo. Four Seasons Marunouchi's wagyu hamburger is #1 for me.

If you are ever in Austin, TX you can't miss Hopdoddy's -- gourmet burgers and they are SO GOOD!
And don't forget to finish it off with their Nutella & Chocolate Cover Pretzel milkshake... OMg! I suggest going before the usual lunch and dinner rushes because people will wait in line for over an hour for these and yes... they are worth it. However, if you can't wait that long and just want to try the milkshake, bypass the line and order it at the bar. |
Try KUMA's if you're ever in Chicago. Awesome burgers & great music playing all the time.

That's a pretty good place, but my favorite burger place in Austin is Hut's. I also would give third place to Hill-Bert's. Fran's comes in a close 4th.
The prerequisites: A "Flattop" 1/4 to 1/3 lb. patty, squashed thin, not pre-made, but from a ball of fresh ground, no more than 87% lean, preferably composed with a little of the remains of an old bull or dairy cow, some charring outside, salt & pepper are the only required seasonings, and some of the "trade names' overpower the beef. "Store-bought" bun, toasted atop the Flattop to gain a bit of greasy essence. Chopped onion, best "red", and best of all topping the patty when it's flipped. Sliced Dill (or Sour) pickles Tomato, ripe, sliced, best of all several thin ones. Iceberg lettuce, chopped Yellow Mustard, but Zatarain's Creole variety elevates the product. Mayo, in the South, never "Salad Dressing", optional For the brave and strong, a few slices of grilled fresh jalapeno are the frosting on the cake. Of the modern, mass-retailer examples, 5 Guys will do, when there's no time to explore or seek advice from local "authorities". |

For me in San Diego it has to be Hoddad's ! Then of course any city that has an In n Out...
|
Last day, I tried Ray's Hell burger at Wilson Blvd, Arlington and it was fantastic. The burgers are juicy, packed with flavor and everything on the menu wasn't expensive. The staff is efficient and performs well in rush times.
|
why are "best of" lists always horrible, completely wrong and seemingly always written by some jerk who gives the distinct impression that they've never been to any of the places they write about?

Best burger in the world
Instead of How I Met Your Mother's search for the best burger in New York, I want to know where to find the best burger in the world according to the Flyertalk community.
To kick-off this topic, the best burger I had so far: The M-Burger in Chicago http://www.mburgerchicago.com/ Very tasteful and contains bacon, cheese and a secret M-Burger sauce sold at 4 locations across the city. On their facebook-page they also publish a monthly secret menu with a pumpkin-shake on it right now. So, what's your favorite burger in the world? |
