Best burger... The $0.99 1/2 lb. Fat Eddie burger at Fast Eddie's Bon Air in Alton, IL. It's amazing and, obviously, dirt cheap.

Fast Eddies is great because it's cheap, but I don't think it's the best. The best one in the St. Louis area is Fatted Calf in Clayton, across from the county courts. Being able to go there for lunch made jury duty worth it.

Something about Five Guys makes me smile every time.

Ogalo or O'le. Somehow the Portuguese have a monopoly the chicken burgers in Sydney but they are always damn good.^

I used to love the GBK (Gourmet Buger Kitchen) Burgers in UK. They are a world apart from the McDs and BKs. Of course they are expensive as well. Five Guys are good in US, so is the In 'n Out burgers.

SeattleFlyerGuy have you tried Red Mill Burgers? One of the best in Seattle, my hometown.

A great burger comes down to one thing and one thing only, the beef! On that front the burger at Owen and Engine in Chicago beats all others hands down with the Black Label burger at Minetta Tavern in NYC a close second.

Something for all tastes in that slideshow. Only one that looked appealing to me is Dyer's Burgers in Memphis. Big fan of thin hamburgers cooked with crispy exteriors.

I'm frequently in the mood for a burger, but after repeat visits to Turkey, maybe I've also wanted an ayran to complement it all along.

Relish in West Palm Beach Florida. I'm craving the Buffalo Burger with Sweet and Smoky Bacon as a write this. Shakes are solid also.
