Moët Ice Imperial <3

In the summer on the beach with some strawberry's and pineapple...

I've been to Reims and Epernay and visited a few of the big name Champagne companies, and tasted their products. Many buffets I've gone to serve "upscale" champagne.
But if you factor in PRICE: Andres Extra Dry is the BEST.:D (<$5.00/bottle)

If you have lots of fresh squeezed orange juice.

Favorite is probably a Krug NV or well aged Dom Perignon (like 10+ years min).

It's all about the food pairings too or having it with a meal. I can't really fathom drinking a whole bottle by itself without a meal. That'd be tough.

Some wines you can't even get through the glass without the food!! :D. Although there are food pairings, if I can't drink a glass on its own, I'm not going to be buying that wine again.

have not been a fan of Dom.

Krug for high end

Bollinger for mid scale, I like the fuller flavor champagnes.

I was fortunate to have a long time FTer bring some cremant from Alsace region, I have certainly been enjoying that.

If we assume that money is no object for a second, I would probably put Salon, Comtes de Champagne, and Cristal as my favourite trio. Some of the smaller producers do great bottles as do a number of non-Champagne sparklings. The one thing I really dislike is anything sweet with the small exception of a very occasional fragolino!

At the low-end, I find La Marca Prosecco to be a solid choice. It's usually in the $15 range here in NC but occasionally will drop down to $11 or $12.

More high-end, I really enjoyed The Peninsula Champagne that CX served at the The Wing Champagne Bar when I was there earlier this year (more than the Veuve).

My personal preferences:

NV:
- Pierre Moncuit
- Roederer Brut Premier

Rosé
- Billecart Salmon
- Roederer

Mid-range
- Ruinart Blanc de Blancs
- Bollinger
- Jacquesson

High-end
- Cristal de Roederer
- Cristal Rosé

One comment about Nicolas Feuillatte: I fully agree that the entry-level product is dreadful, but they do have some pleasant mid-range products.

Veuve Clicquot on sale at Target for $39.99 - 5% if you have a Red Card. I'm not sure whether their sales are national, local or by store, but it's a pretty good price. It was $42.99 at Costco the other day.

A new favorite and well priced too!
