Just saw this thread for the first time. I love a good sky bar/lounge - and have been to many on the list esp in Asia

Just back from an extended stay in KL...I would add:

1. Luna in Pacific Regency
2. Marini's on 57 - in the Petronas Towers #3 bldg
3. View Rooftop at G Tower

and perhaps most unique - #4. Heli Lounge in the Menara KH Bldg. The main bar is on the top floor (~40?) but the plus is you can walk up and sit on the bldg helipad (if not raining!) - pretty cool. Esp great at sunset...

I will try to add some pics tomorrow...

The Heli Lounge looks really cool. I would love to check it out sometime. Thanks for the additions. They are now part of the list!

I've heard about this place... what I've been wondering is: presumably there's a buffer floor just over the edge, rather than a looonnng drop?

Sorry hadn't been back to check this thread...

there's not really much to protect - no wall or fence or anything, but they do have a yellow line that's ~3m in from the edge all the way around. And the staff are very watchful for people getting close or crossing the line (like the Bangkok BTS guys...if you have been there! except they don't use whistles...lol)

It is used as an actual helipad during daylight - so they can't have anything sticking up out of the surface. You climb up stairs from the level below to access the deck

just back from Manila - while it's not a skyscraper...I did find a new place (well new to me) - the SkyDeck at the Bayleaf hotel.

Overlooking Intramuros...very nice for sunset, views of night golf at Intramuros below. sorry i don't have pics...

Post Tavola36 Italian Restaurant & Sky Bar - Swissotel Nankai Osaka

I had a chance to view Swissotel Nankai Osaka while I was there on vacation and I think the Tavola36 is really a very nice place to dine at. Can't wait to dine there if I happen to be there again.

Another entry for Singapore.

55th floor at ION Orchard, Salt Grill and Sky Bar. I had lunch there recently. The ION building is the tallest building in the Orchard area and the views are gorgeous.

This is the website for the restaurant and bar, by Luke Mangnan.

I did a short video when dining at the restaurant recently and took in some views too. Check it out of interested - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtYaEyQ0lMY
