What country serves the best breakfast?
 

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day! I love eating bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches on a bagel right from my own kitchen... BUT, when I'm traveling my favorite restaurants to find (or look for) are those which serve phenomenal breakfasts. So... in which country have you eaten the best breakfast?

I'm a fan of Pho (beef noodle soup - Vietnam), Mie Goreng (fried noodles - Indonesia), String Hoppers (somewhat pancakes served with curry - Sri Lanka) or a Masala Dosa (large crepe with filling - South India)

I wasn't aware that countries served breakfast. Frankly I would be shocked if there wasn't a single country on the planet where both excellent and poor meals couldn't be found with some effort.

Breakfast is overall my favorite meal of the day as well, as long as it's eaten a couple of hours after waking. It's also normally my biggest meal of the day. Since I like hot and hearty, of the countries I've visited, the US is #1, Mexico is #2, Thailand is #3.

Your #2 is my #1. I like eating meat for breakfast. Thai breakfasts I like as well.

How does that differ from full English?

Usually includes Blood pudding both white and black.

My addition would be Dim Sum but I do like Kuiteoy in Thailand but always miss my English.

Isn't full English breakfast going a bit out of style? I still like it, but I'm not in the UK that often.

During the work week I usually have "Italian breakfast": coffee, cigarette and a bad mood, taken standing up and in a hurry.

I don't think you can single out anywhere as having the best breakfast. It's what you prefer to eat.

I for instance love Asian food but can't eat traditional Asian breakfasts.

I cook breakfast for my children nearly every morning. During the week, it's egg White omelettes with a fried or poached egg on top or Porridge with sultana's and a variety of fruits.

At the weekends it's bacon sandwiches, full English and the best breakfast in the world - eggs Benedict.

Where have I had the best eggs Benedict? Copenhagen. The UK and US have some fine examples too.

So it's all down to personal preference.

My favourite is a London breakfast, sausages, bacon, fried eggs, baked beans, grilled tomatoes, fried slice, bubble, chips, liver, black pudding, mushrooms, heart attack, ambulance, emergency room, morgue.

My favorite breakfasts are in Hawaii because of all of the delicious fresh fruit.
