Your last meal on earth: what would it be?

If you could predict when your last meal would be, what would you have?

I'll start:

Porterhouse dry-aged steak, medium rare, very liberally salted. Seared foie-gras on top, string onions, garlic mashed potatoes, and a glass of 20 year old first-growth bordeaux.

A burnt ends platter from Gates Barbecue in KC.

Fortunately, there will be further opportunities, though:

Stuffed Flank Steak
Roasted potatoes
A lovely bottle of Spectre Cabernet

If I could only pick one, it would be the Cab.

I can guarantee when my last meal will be! The next time I eat fried clams (mmmmmm), I have a severe allergy to shellfish.

Good bread to dip in fine olive oil and balsamic.

A plate of linguine simply dressed with garlic, crab, olive oil, more garlic & parsley.

Two bottles of Dom Perignon.

Anything cooked by my wife.
I've always wondered what it's like to die in agony.

I'll probably find out when she reads this.

Since I don't know when or where I'll day I will say it will be:
Whatever I ate last.

I am not on death row, I do not plan my last meal, simple as that.
And while I am living, I am traveling, exploring, tasting new and different cuisine along the way, so what may be the 'best' changes often and I'd not share it as a wish for a 'last' meal. Someone may hear me and make it happen early

Thanks for the in depth answer to a light-hearted question. Why not take a day off from knitting your new tank top from muesli and organic flax?

*Sorry if I sound a bit crabby, I lost Ł1,000 today with the Crown Currency fiasco*

An AirFrance economy inflight snack.

Not really...

I guess I would probably choose something big or expensive, like the kind of things they have on Man Vs. Food.
