stumbled across a site that lets you compare prices of duty free items along your route. Might be helpful for some. They are still in Beta (work in progress..) so are missing destinations, and product offering not complete, but a nice conncept. www.dutyfreebee.com
Almost ended up buying liquor in CDG (8/13) and then recollected that it was quite cheaper at AUH (5/13). Fortunately I was made aware of the duty free after baggage claim in AUH before the trip. Phenomenal difference.
Prices were X at both places.
CDG Euro X, AUH $ X
Though perfume was about 20% cheaper at CDG comp to AUH.

JW DoubleBlack at YVR Duty Free is C$37.50 for a litre, best price I've ever come across, normally in the U$40-45 range. (C$ is a few cents under the U$.)
