Quite interesting. Got my wife to bring me one 2 weeks back on the way back from India . About USD39 in Doha.

The carryon bag is great.

The bottle mouth has a weird seal. Had a hard time the 1st time around.

Just took a pour from my bottle. Funny thing is this had a built in spout like you'd see at a bar.

First taste was bitter and disappointing. After a couple of seconds, the smokey flavor hit me. ^

Give me a couple of days with this to see where it's going.

Anyone see this out in the wild yet?

Yup, guess Diageo decided to release it to In Flight Duty Free as I just bought a bottle on my AC flight where it went to C$40 (US$42). Also saw an ad in the Emirates inflight magazine. At Auckland Airport where I got that really great deal last year, it is going for NZ$66, which is about US$44. Enjoying a glass in my room at the IC Rialto Melbourne after my marathon YYZ-PVG-AKL-MEL journey (albeit all in J/C)! Very nice before a hot shower and walkabout town...

The seal is pretty standard but the bottle does have that "bar pour" spout which means you have to tip it over the glass, inside the tumbler, and then tap the bottle slightly to move the valve ball to start the flow of the dark amber liquid.

I am finding it interesting to read the posts since I first started this thread to get an idea of how this blend is taking off...and how people are reacting to it. Definitely seems to becoming the whisky blend of choice for those of us into single malt Islays. Having finished my glass I can definitely feel the peat aftertaste in my mouth!

This is the first time I ever chose a JW anything at all, and the first time in years I actually wanted something that was not Islay. I'm still somewhat nonplussed, but happy about it anyway. It is saving a lot of money for me.

Starting to see this in more NAmerican airport Duty Free shops. YYZ has it at 2 for C$99, DEN was 2 for U$85.

I sadly only bought one bottle on Continental duty-free. Should've bought a bunch more - my dad loved it, and it'd be a perfect father's day gift.
